I don't mind games being optimized for one brand, but I do not care for crippling.
Oh, and, this thread will not end well. 🙂

No actually Nvidia cards win quite often in Dirt2 (i.e. a 480 being just as good as a 5970). And you didn't answer my question, on what do you base your theory? Seems like you grasp that quite out of thin air. They run equally well on both vendors, but few TWIMTBP titles favor Nvidia cards. F1 2010 is an exception though.

While the corporations have the right to tweak their products as much they want, the end user has the right to decide what he buys or not.
This is an incomplete list of companies/games that not only exploit the Nvidia strengths but also cripple the ATI/AMD cards on purpose.
Ubisoft - Assassin's Creed
HAWX1&2
Capcom - Lost Planet 2
EA Digital Illusions
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- NFS
4A Games - Metro 2033
Digital Extremes - BioShock 2
Capcom - Lost Planet 2
Cryptic Studios - Star Trek Online
Look at this bench:

It's ludicrous

Stop buying their products, period.
So let's see. Crysis Warhead = TWIMPTBP game.. and AMD cards compare quite favorably there.Obviously its grasped out of this air. It all anecdotal evidence. TWIMTBP games obviously favor Nvidia cards.. and Gaming Evolved titles are not 'crippled' on Nvidia's to the extent Nvidia cripples TWIMTBP on AMD's cards.
How about we boycott AMD cards because of poor performance in these games?

Dude! I am most certainly not a focus group member and would be the first to call out sleezy antics, but you're way out in left field here. A lot of the members in this thread own AMD cards. Put down the pitchfork and torch and let the monster go......Wow, it seems that the Nvidia Focus Group members are busy today. Can anyone explain the bench I posted or not?
Just think one second about what exactly you're claiming here: You're saying that Nvidia is paying off half the gaming industry and nobody is noticing or saying anything. We're talking about thousands of people here - it's just illusive to think that would stay unnoticed for years.See.. I told you its all anecdotal evidence. These arguments go on forever cos.. there is no way one can prove X is crippling Y.

I am sorry, but your list is total BS.. BF:BC2 .. CIV 5 are AMD gaming evolved titles. The only games I can see is HAWX 2 and LP2.. which are crappy games to begin with.
Ah yeah sorry, mixed you up with the OT.Now you are just putting words in my mouth.
That Civ 5 bench is certainly interesting considering 7 AMD cards scored either 34 or 32 FPS. I dunno if that speaks of any foul play though. I honestly blame the developers first, it's almost always a lazy job on their part.
