2800 DDR4 on a mobo that's only rated for 2400?

Hi folks,

I'm transplanting my rig from ATX to mATX, and I'm using 2x 8GB sticks of Ripjaws4 DDR4 2800 MHz on the current machine.

The new mATX motherboard I'm looking at is only rated for 2400 MHz, and says any higher-rated modules will simply run at this rate.

What kind of performance hit am I looking at from this? RAM is an area about which I know very little.
