AMD Vega HBCC at 4K

I mentioned in the other thread (now locked) that I would upload a video of gaming at 4k with Metro:LL Redux on my Vega 56 with HBCC on versus off and I finally have it. It's a very short video and has 0 production value but it shows the effect in this title. I will try to upload more and better videos with other games.

edit: I apologize for the quality of video, you probably have to watch it on a computer to see the frametimes and make sure it's set to HD. Further videos will be a lot easier to see.

Looks like there's a lot less stuttering going on with HBCC turned on. I always believed it was a feature intended for getting more stable frame rates vs one that is to help achieve higher framerates, and it looks to be doing it's job at high resolution.

Yep, it was easily felt while playing. Both smoother and minimums were greatly improved. This doesn't happen in all titles though.

Interesting stuff, easy to see imo. Can we have it at 4k because the 720 kinds of blurr the frametimes?
I dont know what is happening. Perhaps the standard memory control without hbcc is buggy, because i guess there is not much used of the ram anyway?

HBCC is interesting for sure, because it open for kind of new games, but as Raja says its for the 5 year perspective for that to happen big time.
