American Express + Amazon - $25 off $50+ purchase when you use MR points

Perhaps this is a somewhat targeted offer, but American Express and Amazon have a promotion where if you pay for part of a $50+ order with Membership Rewards points, you get a $25 discount. Best of all, you can use only a minimal amount of points to get the discount - for example, I just ordered something and put down only $1 worth of points (143 points), then charged the rest to my AmEx card.

Here's the blip from Amazon's page:

1. Add $50 or more of eligible products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your shopping cart.
2. Under "Choose a payment method," select your Membership Rewards eligible American Express Card and pay for at least a portion of your order with Membership Rewards points, then click "Use this payment method."
3. Enter the promo code AMEX16EVER in the box provided on the checkout page, then click "Apply."
4. Up to $25 of savings will be reflected on the final order checkout page.

Supposedly, it's available until 12/31/2016 or until the promotion runs out of funds.
