My all slots were functional, but after installation of new hyper 212 x CPU cooler, I found out that the last memory slot is not working rest 3 works fine.

Can someone help me with the issue?
Thanks.

Yes I have tried , ram works fine n first 3 slots next to CPU works as well just the 4th slot isn' t working.
This problem surfaced just after installation of hyper 212 x I think somehow problem is related to it but not sure what it is.

Please reseat the last memory, because sometime when you install CPU HSF you may had move memory accidentally. I sometimes do that, too.
If not, please take the last memory out and reboot and try putting back in again.

Happens sometimes when you over-tighten the HSF. I would try not screwing it down so tight.

What do you suggest unscrew completely and screw it again or just loosen it.

1 more question- is there a possibility that my motherboard will get damaged over time if I do nothing n let it be cuz I am currently using 2 slots only and basically I am not bothered enough to rectify 4th slot which I am not using anyways or should I do the needful asap ..?

I would take care of it ASAP, just loosen it a bit & try to get the slot working. Is this a new board/build? Possible to RMA?
I would If you're ok with it, then just keep using it..
