Hi Techies,

I have an 8gb 2666mhz corsair ram with an i8400 processor,

is it possible to add another 16gb 3000mhz ram with the existing Memory?

Will it cause any problem?
Can I operate with full 3000mhz?

Heya,

You could add it, but it will not operate at the same cycles and timings, it will operate at the lowest of the entire set. That is, unless you're overclocking specifically the other ram. However, I would advise against overclocking unmatched RAM due to stability.
