Location and specific job make a difference, but in my area (Utah), having an A+ certification is usually a basic requirement for most IT support positions other than tier 1 help desk/tech support (and some places require it even for that). It doesn't have any real impact on hourly vs. salary. Most places just won't even talk to you for an interview if you don't have the cert or multiple years of job experience.

Paid by CPM from YouTube ads, because actually doing tech-support doesn't pay enough to live on, even in a metro area.
