GTX 960 - dud or just terrible

Hi, I've recently purchased a GTX 960 and frankly, it sucks. I've been playing games that should be easily running like overwatch or g-mod and its crashing every time without fail. I'm just wondering if its got something broken, maybe with antialiasing as I've had a few problems with that and textures. If it is a dud or broken some recommendations for a card would be great, or even whether I should get another one and SLI it.

You cannot sli gtx960' s.

1. Latest drivers installed?
2. Latest patches for the games installed, there are probably many.
3. Cards fans spinning? Overheating?
4. Do you have a good cpu?
5. Any programs running in the backround ?
6. 2 gb gtx960 or 4gb version?
7. Resolution of your monitor?
720p, 1080p, 1440p?
