Is m.2 nvme overkill what I need?

I currently edit footage taken from the GH5 which can record up to 400 Mbps. Samsung 850 Evo can already hit read/write speeds of 500 Mbps so would that be enough to smoothly edit my footages off of or would the Samsung 960 pro still benefit me? Plus there is a very nice sale for the 1tb models so I was thinking of getting 4 in raid 0 which should give it 2000 Mbps?

No it's not, but 4 in RAID 0 is way beyond overkill.

A single 1TB 960 EVO is rated up to 3,200 MB/s read, and 1,900 MB/s write. Or you could even just buy one large 2TB 960 PRO if you're willing to buy 4 X 1TB 960 EVOs.

400 Mbps is only 50 MB/s, so this why the storage for that camera using the All-I codec only needs to be 60 MB/s minimum (ie, V60 SD card).

Hi sorry, I should have made my post more clear: I was referring to 4 x 1TB Samsung 850 Evo in Raid 0, since they have read/write speeds of 500 MBps, if 4 are placed in raid 0 that should offer 2000 MBps. So basically I was wondering if this set up is enough to edit footage at a bitrate of 400 mbps or would I still benefit from using nvme ssd?
For further clarification, I was planning on storing all the media on a hard drive, and moving them onto the nvme ssd to edit off of whereas the 4 x 1tb ssd would have been both the storage and device to edit off of.
