I am currently on a 2014 MBP 15" and it's feeling long in the tooth so I'm looking to get a new laptop. I don't really want to spend the money on an MBP and I think the Air's will be good enough for me. I do a bit of development on here (but haven't recently) and have done a bit of CAD stuff now that I got my 3D printer.
I just went to the mall to just see the form factors of the 13" and 15" ones, and to my surprise, the 13" actually felt very nice. I thought I may feel a bit cramped but I didn't at all because the keyboard is the same size between the 13" and 15". The resolution of the 13" also goes higher than what I am used to on this current MBP, so I won't be losing any screen real estate that I'm used to either.
However, I am just wondering if I would regret not getting the 15" one since that is what I'm used to, and wondering if like after having it a bit I am wishing that I had a 15" one. The price difference is like $200 basically, just between the ones with the same specs.
I also don't really take my laptop anywhere for the most part. It stays at home. Maybe on vacation or something but I don't like carry it around to work or anything like that and have a separate work computer.
So I'm curious - has anyone used both sizes extensively and have any opinions on them?
