Question Monitor DNS, DHCP and Print servers main services status.

Greetings,

I'm a beginner in this subject, but I'll do my best explaining.
So, the company I work for currently only monitors and manages storage and CPU. Our infrastructure uses Windows Server 2012 and 2016. The firewall is already set up too.

In terms of security and troubleshooting, we wanted to monitor the DHCP, DNS and Print servers as well.
What we are looking for, right now, is not tools to do the job, but to understand the services we want/must monitor in each one of the servers. Services that should be accounted for at all times so we don't have to guess what the problem is. To simply know what is going on inside our network.

For example, one of them is the netlogon service that authenticates users and other services within a domain. I'm looking to find out what others there are. I have to develop a list, study them and report what needs to be done to my superior.

Thank you for your assistance,
Primo
