Motorola G Power Who is getting one?

I know Motorola just came out with the Edge, but I am getting a Morotola G Power for 250 bucks. Minus the NFC and the 5 g missing, this seems like an all around solid phone. It will be a decent replacement should something happen to my daily driver. Just wondering if any one else will pick these up or if they will wait and get an Edge? I was also looking at the G stylus but since I already have a Note 10 Plus, that's over kill. If nothing else if Im not going to use this phone, Ill give it to my dad and see how he does with it. He is not a tech guy at all but I handed him a samsung tablet and he was off and running with it and he seems to have no problem using it.

I was looking at it yesterday. The issue with Moto is update. My E4 stopped getting updates for a while. If you don't need the latest update, and can live with older security patches, and want a pure android experience, then Moto is great.

I was instead looking at OnePlus 6T, it was $299 yesterday for unlock at woot. Faster processor, more ram and storage. I just not sure about their Oxygen OS or how secure and safe (no backdoor) it is.

I read a lot of good things about One Plus and some of the other Chinese mfr. I have been staying with Korean products. Samsung, LG G7 ThinQ. Most my TVs are now LG, I also have a Samsung S7 Edge with the pink line issue! Plus right now I'm so locked in with Google going to a non google or apple device would be a nightmare.
Your right I had a few motos a while ago and they did suck for updates. But the phones were always top notch even in their budget line. They worked like they should and the support was pretty decent. If they could just push out security updates like the others they would be killer, maybe they will now that they have the big phone they need to back it up with big support.
