Question OEM SFF elitedesk, ram upgrade with diff speed

The machine has a 2400GE and came with 2666 speed installed. I noticed 3200 speed kits are cheaper right now than 2400/2666.

I was under the impression if you put faster RAM into an OEM system then it will simply default down to it's BIOS preset but I wanted to verify first.

I'm not hoping it will run faster speed I just dont want it to have issues or default down to below 2400

Hard to say without trying, but many OEMs may not have the option to select RAM settings/speed, or even profile. If the kit has a JEDEC setting for DDR4 2666, then you should be fine, but otherwise you could expect 2133 MT/s if not.
