Ozark (Netflix)

Watched the first episode last night. I'm not sold on Jason Bateman yet in the primary role but we'll see if he has the range as the season progresses for me. Looks like I'll enjoy the show though.

The show itself really isn't about drugs, it's about laundering the money from drug cartels. We watched the entire 1st season and really enjoyed it. Someone brought it up today at work and said they were a few episodes in, but they liked it as well.
 
I'm 4 episodes in and it's still just okay to me. The 4th episode got a little better. But the first 3 episodes, there was just so much stuff that is not believable, but the show is trying to be serious, so it was kind of hard to take it serious. It's also hard to take Jason Bateman serious in a serious role, even after 4 episodes. And the acting by both of the FBI guys is painful to watch, it's atrocious.
 
Finished it myself last night as well, very good show. It got better to me. Started out kinda just alright but picks up big time IMO.

And Snowfall is pretty mediocore. It has premise but it is just very meh with a lot of pretty bad acting and just dumb writing. I find it comparable to Tyrant and The Bridge.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I want to watch another Netflix show about drugs. I'm already watching Narcos, and other shows like Orange Is The New Black and GLOW have plenty of drug references in them as well.
 
Ozark isn't about "drugs" really at all. Like the focus of everything going on really does not have to do with drugs. It's way more about drug money.
 
Watched 1 episode last night based on countless recommendations/praise I've seen from all directions.
Did not disappoint.
