I had a thought along the same lines after reading that US commanders were instructing their subordinates that they were fighting a fucking holy war, Armageddon, and for the return of Christ...
So I looked up how big of the Evangelical movement in the US that figuratively believed in end of days and the return of Christ and that we are in "those days" right now... These are the people who thinks that Trump is fighting a holy war right now.

That is a proper mindfuck too with really only one beneficiary: Israel.
