Rebuilding Older 12V DDC Pump

Has anyone successfully rebuilt or reconditioned a DDC style pump? I was going to chuck one of the units I had lying around, left over from a highly flawed AIO system. I think it started to get loud until it eventually seized up and I nearly cooked my six core legacy i7 a few years ago.

I am using a similar pump in another machine and it's almost 10 years old; still working okay. I had the other one taken apart and it seemed to me that it just needed a little oil/grease. I put a few drops of machine oil on the spindle and then ran it. It's a lot quieter but still not where it should be.

The pump was cutting out after about 10 seconds on 12V but I finally got that to stop, I think it was a loose contact. I don't think I'll use it for any higher end builds but it does circulate water and the sound is tolerable. I think I need to clean it out completely and then find some kind of water-resistant grease to put on the spindle and bearing. Everything's there though, and nothing looks damaged, so it should be fine.
