Samsung 960 evo boot problem with mobo Gigabyte 970 gaming

Hi,

I installed windows 7 64bit on this samsung ssd via diskpart,i have loaded as well the nvme drivers,i can see the driver in bios mode but it cannot boot the windows. So i just want to ask if there is any possibility that this mobo does not support nvme drivers as booting devices and sees them only as storage devices??

Also i haven't update the bios version to f2 from f1,is this a necessary step??

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi again and thanks for the reply,

I followed the steps from the guide but still it cannot boot from the samsung drive.

Does anybody know if samsung evo 960 is boot compatible with mobo gigabyte 970 gaming, maybe that's the problem cause i cannot think any other option to try.

Hi,finally it works fine,it is compatible,i had to format the samsung as a GPT disk and to use only UEFI in bios settings.
Thanks
