Suitable motherboard for Intel i3-530 LGA 1156 socket processor?

Hi Guys, so all of a sudden my Intel DH55TC motherboard just won't turn ON :-( I have performed all the procedures mentioned in various walkthroughs and troubleshooting but none of it helped. On powering the cpu the motherboard's green light is ON but the power button isn't making it start up. I tried jump starting by a screwdriver but not even the cpu fans moved. So since I had purchased this in 2010 I am guessing its kinda dead and I should move on!

But my Intel i3-530 processor is absolutely fine! Any suitable motherboards that are still available and would work with this processor? I hope atleast to get the benefits of Intel's DH55TC in the alternate motherboard.

A local dealer advised me to move on to AMD. Any suggestions on that?

I have a GT 610 graphics card which I mount occasionally to play games.

Not worth buying an old used motherboard for that cpu IMO. You're better off waiting for the new Intel Pentium G4560 cpu coming out any day now. It's a 3.5GHz Dual-Core with HT and would be much faster than your old i3. It's supposed to retail for $64.99. Buy a brand new cheap B250 motherboard for around $65 and some DDR4 and you've got a nice upgrade for cheap. You'll also get all the newer features that your old 1156 board lacks.

Yup daveybrat said, mostly because people these days are pricegouging old mobos to oblivion.

You are really better off with a G4560, and can even dump the GT610 with it.

Check Ebay for used OEM system boards, such as:

Mobo from HP Z200 Workstation 503397-001

Mobo from Dell Inspiron 580 DH57M02 nickname "Skywalker"

Mobo from Lenovo ThinkStation E20 or ThinkCentre M90/90p

Saw some for between $30 and $40 shipped (USA) but don't want to get infraction-ed for linking.
