I have a Trendnet TEW-723BRM ADSL router/modem. It works well in all respects other than the fact that I can't get the router to forward/open ports.
The setup is a little different than other Trendnet routers, but fairly straightforward. Here is a link to the emulator for the port forwarding page: http://www.trendnet.com/emulators/TEW-723BRM_v1.0R/main.html. It seems pretty basic, with the only major uncertainty being the "WAN setting" -- but I've tried both PPOE and the actual IP address of the WAN. Also, you need to create two entries -- one for UDP and one for TCP. Other than that, it looks like you just put the specified info in the boxes.
Does anyone smarter than I am have any clue why a basic setup on this page wouldn't work? Or if there is some other setting on another part of the GUI that needs to be set?
