Which is much more important? Android system 7 or 4G RAM?

to me, 4 gigs are more important. the thing needs to be smooth. most of the updates involve accessibility and a better interface. with years of experience using android phones, i guess i can live without a bit of accessibility but crashing apps, heating phones and slow interface are just deal-breakers
