Windows 10 Pro core parking 3960x

I noticed my i7 3960x was not parking any cores with windows 10 pro. I think it is kind of a cool feature since I have 12 threads and don't always need them all. I read that windows 10 pro has core parking disabled by default. I found out you can edit the registry to give you core parking control in the power options. Should I leave it disabled since it is the default setting? Thank you!
