Well, let's see. I'm quite curious, they improved AMF recently, so quality shouldn't be so bad.

Looks like a major update.

I wonder how Radeon chill will pan out. I really hope it doesn't degrade performance. More performance for the 480 is also obviously a plus and wattman for the 390 is nice.

This is huge. I love Shadowplay, but if AMD can pull this off, then I'll have no issues switching next go round.

One of the slides mention, automatic HDMI signal loss recovery and diagnostics. If it means, the card will try to trigger HDMI handshake again under certain error conditions, then it's a great update for those of us running HTPCs, with display occasionally getting stuck in black-screens.

dont you think this is a major driver release?

You answered a question with a question....

I don't know if it's a major driver release, that's why I asked. To me it looks like bundled software and not drivers. I'm not the target market though, as I don't record or stream video games.

In time for my new XFX RX 480 GTR Black, should be in da house by Saturday, cant wait to try them both.

OK AMD admiting the H264 downgrade, just to be clear.

mmm performance hit is kinda high, but even so im looking forward to this and to compare it to Win10 GameDVR.

Lets hope for HEVC support at launch as well, as today HEVC is not supported on the AMF.

Performance is a little better than Shadowplay. 🙂

The cards can do better encoding than Live is able to do for now but better support should not be far away.

You can record right now with Plays.TV and GameDVR with AMD hardware with near zero, or zero performance hit. Shadowplay performance is also near zero hit as far as i know.
