3.6Ghz base and 3.9Ghz turbo. leaked at CES. and that is on the F3 stepping and they also have F4 stepping which supposedly clocks higher..

How do you figure? its faster than what intel can manage with there $1k+ costing 8 core CPU(6900k)

And i would imagine the 4 and 6 cores will clock even higher.

Well, not fast enough to make the much needed difference. Though naturally it should be more affordable.

Updated with some further pointers. Most people have probably seen them already.

Edit: Now it works. Thanks! 🙂

Yep. You can always buy a slower 8c bwe at 1000 usd if you want it less affordable and slower at the same time. Each to his own.
You already know Zen will be faster then a $1000 i7 6900k?

I wonder why Amd is not launching Zen thought 🙄...they definitely have an Intel killer but since they are good people they dont want to humiliate Intel...Amd is made of super humble people...

the same people which sold an overclocked fx8350 named fx9590 for a tiny $800 amount😀

Because is not finalized yet. I heard on twitter that XFR does not work yet, even if they have ES and not final product. Moreover if some week let them tweak clocks, vcore and power consumption, let them work...

The performance of Zen is all conjecture at this time.

I hope it will be performant, but we'll just have to wait for something a little more tangible than AMD marketing teasers.

In any case, I still believe more cores won't be of much benefit to the mass mainstream market for quite some time.

I heard both zen and vega are delayed till summer. Nothing new from AMD in 6 months. Waiting game continues.

Timing is everything, and Intel may very well deploy a new pricing strategy along with new products when Zen launches - it could turn into a car crash for Zen.

Intel hold most of the cards.

I'm in a great spot where my wife wants a computer. But I am in no rush to build a new one for myself and give her mine. So I can wait to see what Zen offers provided it shows up in the next couple months.

Dude im not saying Ryzen will be slower then Broadwell-E...i dont have a crystal ball...

I just pointed out people saying that Ryzen will be faster since they dont have any proof...thats wishfull thinking and overhype...if we have to look at leaked benchmarks Ryzen doesnt look good, they are upping clocks but nobody knows exactly how it will perform..

if we have to look at leaked benchmarks Ryzen doesnt look good

Eh?

I was reading pretty much the opposite - it compares very well to Broadwell.

There was an article from someone indicating clock-for-clock it had more punch than Kaby-Lake! But its a single article of questionable accuracy - so I didn't include it here.

Who knows. Perhaps intel will lower prices of 8c bwe to 350 usd and lower prices of x99 motherboards 50%. Core i7 go to 140usd i5 to 90usd and i3 to 40usd. Pentium and celeron is phased out.
Then Mexico is asked to pay for it.

Possible. But there is different scenarios 🙂

Serious
There will be a response. And the 6c kbl is comming before end year. Intel will ajust prices but its limited what capacity amd have right now anyway so its only a minor impact this year for Intel.
