This genius who is an intern at Nvidia leaked a photo of the Titan Volta (supposedly).

Guess he's hunting for a new job now.

Well....At least we know it only requires 1 6-pin and 8-pin power connector. Looks like sli cable still required also.
 
Surprised that no one brought up that the graphics card uses NVLINK, not SLI.

Can't tell whether "accidential" leak by NVIDIA, or elaborate fake.

I'll say more upwards of $1,700, or... Maybe nvidia might well just bring them within a couple hundred shy of its quadro counterpart. Has to keep it's consumer halo status, and people keep saying those who buy these aren't worried about the price. No point in keeping the price down artificially.

Prices are rising because the demand is there. Flagship cell phones, headphones, and in-ear-monitors are a couple of electronics devices I can name off the top of my head which are constantly increasing in price because demand keeps rising. If the market won't support it, they wouldn't charge it.

It's obviously a planned leak to keep users from buying Vega FE edition as it implies Volta titan is also not too far away.

nobody is as stupid to leak with a badge with their name on it.
 
The funny thing is that Nvidia has already a new generation ready while Amd doesnt even have something to compete with a 1 year old Pascal let alone Volta 🙄

most people just dont know how planning, developing and execution of products in general go. maxwell, pascal and volta were in development way before everybody knew the same goes for amd gpus. they dont simply react to each other. volta is no reaction to vega or vice versa. these products were planned and developed years ago.

they simply have different product and release cycles this time. people seem to forget that nvidia didnt have pascal on their roadmap. who knows how much volta is in pascal already. there is a reason why nvidia HAD TO put out the biggest gpu of all time with over 810mm² while beeing awful to produce.

It's possible.

Speculation time.

Nvidia could be going to go Titan first, rather than 2080 first this time. Could be for any number of reasons. Ranging from Vega competition, to simply putting more time in between Titan and the 2080 Ti (since Titan at this point merely serves as an early adopters tax).

I also joked before about the possibility, that I still consider unlikely but is possible, that Volta is a really big improvement over Pascal and Vega. So much so that the full GV104 gets the Titan moniker, and the 2080 is cut down. Imagine the GK104 launch. But with the equivalent of 680 = Titan, 670 = 2080, 660 Ti = 2070. Or they could move 2070 to GV106 if Nvidia is that far ahead of the curve. Leaves room for more Titans from the GV102 chip too.

Agreed and it is impressive there is demand. I have yet to spend over $200 for a GPU, but to each their own.
