Z370 Motherboard for 8400?

I strongly dislike the PCI slot on that board, it should be replaced with a x4 PCIe slot instead.

its one of those slots where u can put a 4x or 8x card into because the edge seems to be open.

its also really pointless to put a 4x slot in that board, because a CoffeeLake CPU does not have enough PCI-E lanes so without a PLX chip, it would be purely aesthetics.

Looking at the pic it sure looks like a PCI slot to me.
EDITED: Looking at specs, it is a PCI slot at the bottom.

oh im sorry i thought u were talking about that middle pci-e 2x and not that bottom pci slot.

Holly cow it has a original PCI slot? 😵

They are able to work with Windows 10? I thought that such support had long been ended.

It doesn't seem like it, but there are still people who refuse to upgrade to something newer because they have some PCI TV capture card or high-end sound card they refuse to give up on until it dies. I've ran into a few on here over the years.

A motherboard like this might be enough to get them to finally upgrade.
