Thank you. I actually have an older Windows version of 11 Home on a disk and downloaded, but I'm grabbing the latest right now also.I would encourage you, if you are able to successfully install Win11 without too much difficulty that you save the downloaded ISO you use somewhere.
Microsoft is only going to get worse from here, and as others have stated it is easier to do the initial install from a known ISO and then upgrade to the latest version.
Thanks, I did not know that and will have a corded mouse around. In case you don't have much experience installing Win11 on a modern laptop, there is a chance that you won't have a functioning touchpad during setup. If this upsets you, then you ought to have a mouse handy.
Lol. Yeah.Hi.
Disconnect the internet during Windows 11 setup—it will skip the Microsoft account requirement and let you create a local account instead.
I believe we've had plenty of reported cases where this was not true, at least for the Home edition IIRC. I've been at Windows Setup where it prompted me to install a driver for an 'unknown network adapter' that it couldn't use and offered NO way out of it except to cancel Setup altogether.. There were no other network adapters present. IIRC the Pro editions have always offered some more 'outs' than Home editions.Hi.

They've confused Windows 11 behavior with Windows 10 behavior.I believe we've had plenty of reported cases where this was not true, at least for the Home edition IIRC.
