Question Are these white dots on my AOC 32 inch monitor dead pixels? Is the monitor dying?

I got this used aoc monitor cheap but it has white dots on the left side of the screen. Are these dead pixels? Is the monitor dying? Will it spread to other parts of the screen later?

Yes, those are dead spots in the LCD panel itself and cannot be fixed. It usually doesn't spread but can be an eyesore.

Thanks for the quick response. Does this mean the monitor may not last long? I can ignore the spots but I'm worried the monitor may pack up anytime

I've had monitor's with those white spots that worked for a long time so i wouldn't worry about it.
