Damaged screen in Samsung Galaxy S8

I found a damaged Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F in the trash with a cracked screen, but it was still displaying colors correctly. I placed the phone on a 2 centimeter stand so that the battery on the back would have access to air, because the phone was getting very hot very quickly even while idle. The phone then fell onto a hard table from a height of about 2 centimeters. Since that moment, the phone displays colors roughly like on this monitor. The screen now looks like Windows running in 256 colors or even less. There are horizontal bands with different “fog-like” colors visible on the screen. From the very beginning, when I shook the phone, I could hear a sound inside as if something had broken and was moving loosely inside the device. From the beginning, even before the fall from 2 centimeters, the phone vibrates normally, but it does not detect shaking properly, for example to trigger apps based on motion. Can the phone screen repair itself over time. Is a fall from 2 centimeters considered significant or negligible for this type of damage.
