FreeSync TVs may be coming to make console gaming smoother than ever!

This can't fix high input lag and will probably only be used to price certain models higher if it gets used at all.

This article doesn't say anything other than "it works over HDMI and they want to bring it to more things" That doesn't really say "Samsung has partnered with..." or something similar ya know? Seems like wishful thinking.

OMG freesync TV that would be cool, hope that would fix some games that has horrible screen tearing like Planetside 2 and F1 2015 and so forth.

The Samsung Monitor I am using at the moment, is Freesync over HDMI. Hence, I do not think it is wishful thinking whatsoever, that they would extend the feature to their big screen displays.

This would be great since most console games do not run with vsync.
On PC, if you run games with vsync and your FPS are the same as your monitor's refresh rate with zero drops, the effect is negligible.
