I think a pin inside my headphone socket is broken [Oneplus 2]

So, I noticed the problem today, putting my headphone plug into the jack, it didn't fully go in, I thought there was some fluff or lint in there until I looked in there with another phone's camera.

Now I think a pin on the inside is broken Picture

The headphones still work but it keeps coming out with even a little bit of movement and doesn't do the click when I plug it in. Picture

This is the most it goes in, tho it should go in about another 1/4mm or so.

Is it really broken or is it as it should be, can I do something about it or fix it?

Additional pictures of the inside 1, 2 , 3
Also, how could that have even happened?

Im thinking that maybe the broken piece fell into the jack and thats why your headphones wont go all the way in. This happened to me decades ago with a sony walkman. What I did, and be careful if you try, is to get a toothpick, put a tiny dab of glue on the tip, put it in the jack carefully and see if the piece comes out.

I had this happen with my g4... but it wasn't a broken piece but rather too much lint piled into the bottom prevented the headphone jack from inserting fully. Try jabbing a pin to the bottom of it and see if you can dig anything out. I purchased a bag of headphone jack and charge port covers from ebay now to use on case that don't have port covers.
