Actually though, where are the leaks or sources that alledge or confirm that it will be Raptor Cove on Intel 7, I have seen nothing in that regard. Can anyone tie this together ? Maybe there is still hope for RWC and a newer node if this is ever going to be customer facing, which I doubt.

I think it was leaked somewhere but Bartlett is on Intel 7 using Raptor Cove cause Bartlett lake process family processor has been launched on ark.

It's also funny that they say long life availability but then refuse to commit. Which one is it, Intel? Are you implying here that in 10 years, you may not have any fabs to provide these CPUs?

Also, it's contradictory of them to use Core Series 2 branding for Raptor Cove based CPUs. Weren't they accusing AMD of deceiving customers with new model numbers and old generation products at one point?

This is for the Embedded market lol not for general also it has SR-IOV on an iGPU damm 😍.

9950X3D is a hybrid design only one CCD has 3D vcache deal with beside just being dual CCD

If this 12 P core becomes reality, its set and forget as all 12 P cores on one ring bus and still a modern arch and 7200 RAM will get close to competing.

It probably beats 14900K as the 4 e-core clusters of 4 e-cores each are slightly larger than 4 extra P cores in their place and slightly more power hungry are they not?? Only reason Intel went with e-cores is because they are more space efficient per multi threading performance and perform better for apps that scale up to tons and tons or even infinite threads than putting 1 P core in same amount of space.

But you would want to leave HT on unlike on a 14700K or 14900K and that adds power and heat too!! Otherwise you downgrade form 16 threads to 12 threads even with extra cores.

So you would want 12 cores 24 threads.

And also if Zen 6 rumors are true, if and when this comes out you will only have a 1 year or 1 year and months wait or maybe slightly longer wait for 12 core single CCX within CCD Zen 6. I just hope it has WIN10 drivers and works fine with WIN10. Cannot stand WIN11.

Probably not. Best hope is that it boots. That's it. Microsoft won't let AMD validate newer CPUs for Win10. Especially after the support period ends.

I think even with HT off, 12 P-cores would perform well enough. Critical game threads shouldn't exceed 10.

Not really then it just makes it like Arrow Lake which regresses gaming performance due to horrible Intel implementation of tile based latency.

Yeah probably true which is why Bartlett Lake 12 P core on ring bus unlocked if it comes will be intriguing. May be my last stop for a while assuming its reliable.
 
And can anyone read the report clearly and understand what it means? Is this still more a rumor or is it confirmed that this 12 P core Bartlett Lake chip is indeed coming?

Or is it coming for sure its just a matter of whether it will have a consumer variant unlocked, but definitely coming for NEX OEMs??

Yeah in that case its probably not a gamers dream if its only for those markets and locked.

Some mobos have eCLKs where you can bypass and overclock anyways, though not sure if it allows it for RAM overclocking like getting DDR5 speeds better than 5200. You really want at least high 6000s or 7200+ on a 2 DIMM non Asus board to get the latency to have it exceed 7800X3D lus 4 more cores so probably a pass in such case.

But we do not yet know.

Part of me hopes it comes ASAP, but if its gonna be 3-4 months or god forbid longer for a consumer unlocked variant to come part of me hopes it does not so I can move on and not have hopes for it and overthinking part swapping to it again.

Plus the Intel degradation/stability issues with Raptor Lake and not sure how at all it would affect this Bartlett Lake 12 P cores base don same exact design just new die with 4 e-core clusters of 4 e-cores swapped for 4 P cores as a 4-core e-core cluster takes similar die space to 1 P core.


But if its to come at all I hope within a month in like July.

Some large customers must have specifically asked for this otherwise why would they go to the trouble of creating a separate die and doing all the extensive validation and whatnot. And if it comes with AVX-512, they either need to unlock RAM overclocking or release it as part of a quad channel HEDT chipset because AVX-512 needs a lot of bandwidth to be worthwhile.

I read that somewhat old news as over 1 1/2 months old. Though maybe relevant with recent last day or 2 news???

I totally agree with that. Why would they go through trouble of making it if large NEX and OEMs did not ask for it. Gamers not a big part of the market even though we would like them to cater to us more.

Which sadly means probably a locked only variant with lower clock speeds on OEM only for NEX and Edge.🙁🙁

First time you hear about it? It is already widely available since Tiger Lake. I'm using it on Linux QEMU with a 12600K. Software support is behind though, it took a while to get a combination between Linux Kernel version, custom Intel i915 Driver, OVMF UEFI Firmware and VM Windows Intel GPU Drivers that actually worked.
