Are there any laptop computers which have an audio line-out (not headset) externally accessible jack/ports incorporated onto the motherboard to which a set of 2.1 external AC powered computer speakers can be ran off of ?
Or as an alternative, can those same 2.1 external AC powered computer speakers be ran off of a laptop's headphone jack without damaging either the speakers or the laptop's headphone jack or other internals of the laptop's motherboard ?
I have research this question on the Internet but have yet to find a definitive answer. Many posts say this can be done with no harm to the hardware components while others say that it is not advisable.
Any computer electronic engineers on here ?
Thanks.
