New Raspberry Pi 3 B+

It looks like the Raspberry Pi guys have released a newer model of their $35 mini PC board:

The highlights appear to be a faster processor, faster wireless and wired networking, and optional PoE support.

I wish that they didn't use the USB 2 bus for Ethernet, though, because it pretty much guarantees that you'll never get data transfer rates over 350 mb/sec from this thing.

That's what the 3+ has - gigabit ethernet connected to a USB 2 controller. Using a USB 3 adapter just means it clocks itself down to match.

The 1 and I think the 2 had 100Mbps ethernet, not gigabit.

Yeah, the 3B+ comes with a "Gigabit" network adapter built in. Like in this post, it's still hampered by the USB 2.0 bus.

Its a little faster but IMO not a huge improvement, although the wireless is a bit faster. I just got one to use with Octoprint to run my 3dprinter.
