Some more WoA/xta/Prism and Adreno complaints:
Northgard seemed to be working but it locked up half way through a game. Couldn't tell if it was D3D11 wrapper or emulation that exploded. Tried again in OpenGL. All the colors were wrong in the menu and only 18-20 FPS in game (though the colors looked right here).
That game works even on MacOS. :disrelieved:

I did finish a game of AOE2DE. Gaming battery life is bad but that might be expected given this only has a 70WHr battery. But it's bad even when at vsync 60Hz (estimated 3.5 hours in AOE2DE). Worse than Lunar Lake 226V/130V with also a 70WHr battery (same game I can get 6-7 hours easily).

So don't buy this for gaming. (I didn't! but it's fun to test)

What power mode and what resolution did you use?

not just for gaming. Do not buy this laptop for professional GPU or media engine related tasks.

It sucks for video editing, 3D rendering and any GPU acceleration led tasks.

From notebookcheck:

Power Consumption / Cinebench 2024 Multi Power Efficiency - external Monitor1776242377917.png
Multicore score: 1761 Pts
Power Consumption: 79.2W

Multicore score: 2437 Pts
Power Consumption: 117.5W

The 18-Core M5 Pro scored 2347 Pts and drew 102W, so the efficiency is 23Pts/W. But still, Oryon v2 is impressive.

David Huang mentions the laptop was AUD 4300 which even accounting for exchange rate seems really high. It was $1600 and now $1700 here in the US. So which is the outlier in pricing, AUD or USD?
