Looks like we're finally about to get affordable 10 GbE network adapters. Realtek will be releasing such a chip for only $10 in 2025 according to this article:

The model is Realtek RTL8127 and it was announced at Computex 2025. The expectation is that this 10 gigabit Ethernet chip will also be included on some motherboards starting from late 2025 to early 2026.
