Wait, so Obama used a hotel room known to be bugged by Russian intelligence?

Of course he did, I mean what else would he do? Is there some magical hotel in Moscow that the FSB has promised not to bug?

Our leaders aren't stupid, they know the Russians are going to try and collect intelligence on them. That's why we have people and procedures dedicated to detecting it and why they are careful when they discuss classified information in those areas.

Is there only one hotel in Moscow? Does the FSB have literally every room in the city bugged? Does this mean that every time a prominent official decides to stay in a hotel in Russia, they're setting themselves up for nudes/sex tapes to be potentially used against them?

Why is MSNBC still claiming to "not have access" to the contents of the report? You can go on buzzed and read it now. Almost like NBC has to get the green light from someone to show news.

The President is going there with an entourage of several hundred people to conduct diplomacy. They work with local officials to coordinate security, etc. Not only is it highly unlikely they will be able to keep his room a secret, it would be actively harmful.

You can't seriously believe Obama is going to sneakily stay at a Motel 6 under the name Harack Nobamba or something. in order to protect our state secrets. I mean think how silly that is.
