Salesforce, Google, Verizon, or Microsoft might buy Twitter

When I ran a food truck business I was on twitter all the time to update our fans on specials, locations, hours, upcoming events, interacting with other local and food-related twitter accounts, and all sorts of random stuff. So I kind of used it a lot. I started following a lot of folks and found it to be generally an interesting place to get info from. But after that was over I started checking twitter less and less, and nowadays I may log on once every couple of weeks. Not sure why as I found it a wealth of information for two years. All depends on who you follow though. But it just waned away for me regardless. Have no ill will towards twitter though, I think it serves a purpose for many.

The sheer mass of journalists, government officials, military personnel, and wonks on there is absolutely astounding. Wish I would have got on there a whole lot earlier than I did.

It seems the Twitter buyout rumors appear every couple months. I own shares of Twitter and bought it months back because I thought someone would eventually buy Twitter at a premium. But it could be a fund or two choking on Twitter shares spreading the rumor so they can get out. It wouldn't be the first or the last time.

Google Plus is essentially dead, may as well buy a successful "micro-blogging" social network.

Microsoft just bought Linked-In and they're doing a $40 billion share buyback, money won't spend itself.
