Unable to Install Windows Update KB4505903 (Windows 10 Pro x64)

I touched upon my difficulties with this update in another thread, but since it wasn't relevant to the topic I figured it was best to just start a dedicated thread.

Normally I wouldn't make a stink about an update not working, and this one is still technically a preview I believe, but I am having some issues with my sound card drivers and would like to troubleshoot further with the update installed. I've tried stopping and restarting the update service, troubleshooting WU through OS and installing the update manually in safe mode but nothing is allowing me to complete the update. Meanwhile, this same update installed fine on two other computers through WU, both laptops.

I've also tried mounting a 64-bit Windows 10 ISO and running the following command to try and restore corrupt system files, since they were detected with SFC:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:X\sources\install.wim /LimitAccess

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image

Didn't help; I made sure to use the drive letter of the mounted image.

Has anyone else run into a similar scenario. I understand that there were some initial problems with MS first released the update, but upon re-releasing it they should have been fixed. I'd rather not have to do a repair install but I'm running out of ideas. I recently updated this computer's BIOS to support Ryzen 3000 but it's been working well otherwise.

Any input is appreciated!

Yea I am sort of at a total loss at this point; still unable to install it. I just get this:

WU_1903-err.PNG

Quite frustrating and the SSU on the machine is up to date. I've installed the update on a few other machines so I might inquire with my motherboard manufacturer about what might be occurring (or not occurring) on this specific machine.

Worth a shot, seeing as I've been unable to get anywhere... I'll report back with any findings.

Thanks for the suggestion.
