Question Whats the difference between these Alphacool fittings?

Seems like they mixed chrome with brass in the main fitting on the cheaper ones.

I dont know how that would reflect in the long term of the barb.
We really didnt play with metal alloys when i had my soap box over at XS, so we don't know any long terms except the basics.

I emailed the question to info@alphacool.com. Their repy:
the only different between the two products is the Design. The HF Series is our older series and the Eiszapfen is the new Series. The different starts by the fittings for Hardtubes. The Eiszapfen fittings are compatible the glass tubes and the HF Series is not compatible with glass tubes.

Have a nice day.

that makes no sense...
its the barb attachment itself that makes it compatible with the hard tubing, not the actual rotary.
The rotary could be made of plastic for all you care, its the barb adapter that will allow it to take hard tubing.

I think Tim is trying to sell you the more expensive stuff with a BS reason.

He probably was referring to the 2 product lines, not the individual fittings I was asking about. I think the difference is marketing. And he didn't take the time to look up manufacturing differences like plating thickness, or the ID of the inside of the fitting.
