What's your gasoline costing?

Up to $4.59 now in Aberdeen. I'll pick up my F150 Lightning tomorrow. I AM NOT going to miss these fckn gas prices.
Looks like the base model has a 93 kWh capacity, so figure maybe 120 kWh to charge it from the wall. That'd be $25-ish to fill up. Sounds nice.

Gas is only the most evident savings. There's whole classes of fluids, and fun ways they leak that don't come with an electric truck, Not to mention the and, and, ands...

Most people don't need to put a 4x8 piece of plywood flat in the truck. Rope is a thing. People that can't use rope probably shouldn't own a truck. I work a truck harder than the vast majority of truck owners, and I have that "wonderful" full size bed. The room is nice, but I'd trade some of it for a shorter truck. 5.5' is the minimum. 6.5' is comfy.

I need a way to stick 125L argon tanks into my sedan until these truck prices come down. Come on guys, gas is expensive! Sell your trucks!

I can buy a LOT of gas at $4/gallon for $100,000 for a freaking pickup truck I can't even lay a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood flat in the bed.

I would love the F150 Lightning as I like the idea of a bit more self sufficiency but when I do the math it just makes no financial sense even considering gas prices. The bed size is also comically small but that seems to just be the trend now even with gas trucks so pretty much need a trailer anyway for serious hauling. I eventually want to get a 16+ foot trailer that is heavy duty enough to haul a full lift of 16 foot lumber. My truck bed is 6.5" so at least that can still do 4x8 sheets, with tail gate up they don't stick out much and if I need like 20+ of them I can put tail gate down and have to tie it. I do miss the 8 foot bed sometimes though.

Go big or go home, you can even step up and go to Platinum Edition! Although I don't really know what the main difference is, think you're practically just paying for a slightly different look at that point. A truck so expensive you'll never want to take it on a gravel road lol.

NGL it would be fun to have "FU money" and be able to actually go buy something like that without even thinking about it. 😛

$4.739 last night for regular, if only I'd filled up that car a couple weeks ago like I meant to. Oh well, better last night than tomorrow, when I expect it will be even higher. I only fill that tank 3 times a year anyway.

Circle K 3.49 on the 10th and 3.89 on the 17th for regular. 3.75 today Mar 19. Tallahassee. I'll take all the decreases we can get. Sam's Club up to 3.60 today.
