Why do I care about AI on a laptop?

Hello,

I'm not that familiar with much ai other than the useless chat stuff that never answers my questions correctly on Fedex or other websites. I imagine there have to be some good uses for it so can you help out an old geezer and tell me why I want AI on my next laptop? I may be old but I like to learn newer stuff.

Do you mean running AI agent(s) locally on your laptop, or have an AI agent generally available in the OS or such, or more general for example like going to Chatgpt's website and asking it questions?

Thanks - I have no idea - they just are excited it has AI in offline - not sure what it could answer without access to the internet or how often I'd use that feature even if I was on the internet.
