sticky! congrats! i think maybe we should be able to post pics 1-2 days after (a lot of the times we take pics over the day/weekend, and don't have time to post them "that day"), although the "spirit" of, "we 'just' took this picture" should remain intact 🙂

Yeah, none of the guidelines are "rules" persay, just guidelines. This is a sharing thread so I didn't want to put "rules" on them. Anyway, you make a valid point and I agree with you. Sometimes you just take your camera with you on a weekend or on a trip and can't get to a computer to post them. I'll update the OP.

Edit: I also got rid of the 1 picture per post. Seems like an archaic limitation anyway the more I think about it.

I wish more people would follow

"Please keep EXIF Data intact for those that are interested in those things"

Blame facebook if you're talking about mine. If you it was mine, I'd post it but I doubt it was mine. Just call 'em out in the thread 🙂

This is my daughter at exactly one month old. I would have posted yesterday (same day) but my internet was down.

Shot with a D5000, 50-200 VR II, F8, 1/160, ISO 250 (I believe)

I used two Yongnuo 460 flashes. One into an umbrella at 45 degrees, the other on the floor bounced off the ceiling. Post was sharpening, and blowing out the whites in gimp using a simple levels adjustment.

The 'backdrop' is a off-white fleece bedsheet draped over the back of two chairs and a breastfeeding pillow (which she is crawling over).

This is my first foray into a 'professional' photo shoot style, so any tips would be appreciated. I'm thinking next time I'd like a second umbrella (don't own yet) to completely remove shadows from the other side.

And another since I'm a proud daddy:
