This has to be part of the way he is going to grift himself to securing the "very difficult to obtain" Tesla pay package. Just like the nuking of basic driving aids as standard to steer people into FSD subs.

The Musk apologists, defended the insane package by pointing out some of the harder conditions to get the full payout. Which ignores that it's full of easy to achieve conditions that still pay most of the insane package.

Tesla is basically a Meme, bubble stock at this point, which I guess goes well with a economy that bubble propelled on insane valuations by sticking AI in front of everything, and crypto coin nonsense now "worth" over 2 Trillion dollars. That over 2 Trillion based on absolutely nothing, and then there is the USA debt bubble, 38 Trillion in debt, and the share that foreign countries hold they are starting to shed. Japan holds the most and they are in a precarious position so they need to sell some. Others just want to de-risk somewhat from the USA.

It's Bubbles everywhere, and it seems like something that could collapse like dominoes, when the slide starts and people want to hold something of some tangible value (hint this is why gold is over $5000/ounce)...

And Presiding over the economic levers is the Mad King, alienating allies and forcing to choose China as the lesser evil, and divest their USD assets.

In large part we can thank Musk for the quarter billion he spent getting Trump elected...

Beyond the whole CEO is a weirdo crazed Nazi making me not want to buy a Tesla ever, this general thing of removing basic things and hiding it behind a subscription upgrade makes me even less likely to buy such a vehicle.
